Ferrier, père, fils et Soulier (French photography studio and publisher, established 1859, dissolved 1867)
|
Note: In 1859 Claude Marie Ferrier (1811-1889) joined Charles Soulier (1840-1875) to cover the campaign of Napoléon III and Victor Emmanuel II in Austria. In 1859, Ferrier et fils, consisting of Claude Marie Ferrier (père) and Alexandre Ferrier (fils), joined with Charles Soulier in partnership in Paris. The firm produced stereoscopic views of Switzerland, Rome, Naples and Pompeii, Italy, the Rhine, Britain, France, Turkey, Greece and Egypt. In 1861, the firm added views of Germany, Spain, Russia, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, China and Syria to their collection. In 1867, the stereoscopic department of Ferrier, pére, fils et Soulier was taken over by two pupils of Ferrier and Soulier, Léon and Levy, who continued to manufacture glass views. |
