Alcora Ceramic Factory (Spanish ceramics manufactory, founded 1727)
|
Note: Founded by the ninth Count of Aranda in 1727 near Valencia. Many early Alcora designs were based on the work of French artists, including Jacques Callot and Jean BĂ©rain. Alcora specialized in tin-glazed earthenware (faience) and produced tableware, plaques, medallions, figures, and portrait busts. |
