Note: "Haus und Garten & Co." was founded in 1925 by Josef Frank, Oskar Wlach and Walter Sobotka. The firm was renamed "Haus & Garten, Frank & Wlach" in 1926 after Walter Sobotka withdrew from the partnership. Frank and Wlach continued to operate the firm until 1938, when they sold it to Julius Kalmár whose niece, Lea Calice, and architect Anna-Lülja Praun ran the company until the 1950s when declining sales and accounting problems forced them to close. |
