Ypas, Pascual de (Spanish sculptor, ca. 1748-after 1810)

Note: Student of the Academy San Fernando in Madrid, which paid him in 1778 for his relief representing "The Entombment of Maria." He worked on the cupola of the chapel in Our Lady of Pilar in Zaragoza. He also created four large stucco medallions representing the exploits of Garcia Jimenez, Inigo Arista, and Sancho Ramirez for the royal mausoleum in the church of the monastery of San Juan del Pena near Huesca.
