Yun Uirip (Korean painter and government official, 1568-1643)
|
Note: Yun Uirip was a painter and civil official active during the mid-Joseon period. Along with his younger brother Yun Jeongrip (1571-1627), he is considered a leading scholar-painter of the era. While passively embracing the painting style of the Zhe School, which was popular in the mid-Joseon Dynasty, Yun also followed the styles of the An Gyeon School and the Ma-Xia School, which had been popular in the early Joseon Dynasty. |
