Alcora Ceramic Factory (Spanish ceramics manufactory, founded 1727)
|
Note: Founded by the ninth Count of Aranda in 1727 near Valencia. Many early Alcora designs were based on the work of French artists, including Jacques Callot and Jean Bérain. Alcora specialized in tin-glazed earthenware (faience) and produced tableware, plaques, medallions, figures, and portrait busts. |
