Jelínek, Jiří (Czech painter, 1901-1941)
|
Note: Czech painter joined the avant-garde group Devětsil in 1923 and presented Purist paintings and collages at the Bazaar of Modern Arts. He lived in Paris from 1928 to 1930 where he was influenced by the abstract works of Foltýn. He was a member of Abstraction-Création 1931-1935, and later the Kvart group. He died at the concentration camp at Mauthausen. |
