Joseph Turner lived in Hawarden, Flintshire, Wales, in the 1760s and early 1770s. Turner undertook renovations at Erddig in Denbighshire, Wales, in the 1770s. In 1774, Turner beacame a freemason of Chester and later and alderman of Chester.
