Note: Worked at Tobacco Co.13 Chestnut St. Charles was a Lieutenant Colonel in the 10th Kansas Infantry. The Hills obelisk was erected in 1891 by Eva Sturges Hills in memory of her husband. It is the tallest obelisk in St. Louis and one of the tallest in the United States. It weighs over 100 tons.
