Note: San Francisco art dealer and collector who became an expert in artists’ ephemera and built an archive that became an important resource for scholars and curators. His business was known as Steven Leiber Basement due to its location in the Marina district of San Francisco. As a dealer, he became known for the catalogs he designed and published from 1992. Each was different conceptually and reflected the nature of the the material cataloged inside. |
