Mackay, Donald (American illustrator, ca. 1914-2005)
|
Note: Illustrator is best known for his book "The Building of Manhattan," (1987). He was raised in Boston and attended the Massachusetts College of Art. He married the artist Stella DaCosta, and went with her to study graphics in Mexico with Alfredo Zalce. Later he studied lithography and etching at Pratt Institute. He worked freelance and contributed to many children's books. |
