Note: American banker, philanthropist, and collector; He was a parner in the firm Drexel, Morgan and Company with J. Pierpont Morgan and his brother Anthony Joseph Drexel. He served as a trustee at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He was an avid collector of coins, artworks, and musical manuscripts. His music collection was bequeathed to the Lenox Library, later the New York Public Library. Drexel died at his residence in New York City.
