Nacif, Maurício (Brazilian engraver, draftsman, and teacher, born 1954)
|
Note: Nacif graduated and had a full degree in plastic arts by the Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado, São Paulo, in 1977. In 1993, he obtained a Master of Fine Arts MFA – Printmaking at the Rochester Institute of Technology, New York (Master degree homologated by the Universidade de São Paulo). From 1975 to 1991, he lectured in plastic arts in several Brazilian institutions, such as: Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado (1975-1977), São Paulo; Escola Superior de Artes Santa Marcelina (1977-1978), São Paulo; Faculdades Integradas Alcântara Machado (1977-1982), São Paulo; Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (1982-1991), Uberlândia, Minas Gerais. He also coordinated the university degree of plastic arts at the Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, from 1983 to 1986. He received the Prêmio Aquisição: Gravura. Paço das Artes/ Museu da Imagem e do Som de São Paulo, in 1981. He took part of several collective exhibitions, among which: 1st Salão Universitário de Artes Plásticas of the Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado de São Paulo (1975); Salão Paulista de Arte Contemporânea, Paço das Artes (1976); International Biennial of São Paulo (1977); Salão Nacional de Artes Plásticas Museu de Arte Moderna, Rio de Janeiro (1979 and 1980). |

| Portuguese ..... Gravador e desenhista brasileiro. Conclui graduação e Licenciatura Plena em Artes Plásticas pela Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado, de São Paulo, em 1977. Em 1993 conclui Master of Fine Arts MFA – Printmaking no Rochester Institute of Technology, em Nova York (Mestrado Homologado pela Universidade de São Paulo). Entre 1975 e 1991, ministra aulas de artes plásticas em diversas instituições brasileiras como: Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado (1975-1977), em São Paulo; Escola Superior de Artes Santa Marcelina (1977-1978), em São Paulo; Faculdades Integradas Alcântara Machado (1977-1982), em São Paulo; Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (1982-1991), em Uberlândia, Minas Gerais. Foi também coordenador do Curso Superior de Artes Plásticas da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, entre 1983 e 1986. Recebeu o Prêmio Aquisição: Gravura. Paço das Artes/ Museu da Imagem e do Som de São Paulo, em 1981.
