Note: Marianne Mehling indicates that Andrea Da Valle rebuilt S. Maria Assunta in Padua, Italy, with Agostino Righetto in 1552. Heydenreich and Lotz indicate that the cathedral was carried out after a design by Andrea Da Valle. Thieme-Becker indicates that Andrea Da Valle and Iacopo Sansovino won the competition for the rebuilding of the cathedral in 1547 but that the construction was interrupted when his and Sansovino's design was rejected. The work resumed in 1552 based on a plan by Michelangelo and was carried out by Da Valle and Righetto.
