Delfosse, Georges (Canadian artist, 1869-1939)

Note: Né le 8 décembre 1869; décédé le 23 décembre 1939. Delfosse étudia avec Joseph Chabert à l'Institut national des beaux-arts à Montréal vers 1884; avec William Brymner à l'Art Association of Montreal; avec Edmond Dyonnet à Montréal; avec Léon Bonnat et Alexis Harlamoff à Paris en 1908. Il fut affilié à "la Société canadienne de portraits et de tableaux à l'huile, vers 1900 (fondateur)". Il voyagea à Paris en 1914, au Québec, dans l'est de l'Ontario, et à New York et à Chicago. Il est le père du peintre Madeleine Delfosse (née en 1909). |
