Note: Born 22 August 1812. Crétin was a student of Vaudoyer [possibly Antoine or Léon], Louis-Hippolyte Lebas and Henri Labrouste. Naturalized French citizen in 1844. As "architecte diocésain du Calvados" and "architecte de Bayeux", Crétin worked at the restoration of the tower of Cathédrale de Bayeux and the addition of its dome in 1866.
