Note: Co-founder of Avnet, Inc., a distributor of electronics components. With her husband Lester, collected Old Master and Modern drawings. acquired 900 works between 1960 and 1970, donating 180 to MoMA in 1978. Joan had a gallery in Great Neck LI in 1960s, later was a private art dealer in New York and Palm Beach FL.
