Note: Son of Norman Armour, State Dept. official and the former Princess Koudacheff of Russia. The younger worked in US State Dept.as well.born in Brussels, received a bachelor's degree from Princeton University in 1942. He then enlisted in the United States Army, rose to the rank of captain and served until 1945. Armour Jr. joined the Foreign Service in 1949 and served in several posts in the US and abroad. In 1967 he became president of the Aleyska Ski Corporation of Girtwood, Alaska.
