Fahrenschon, František Kašpar (Czech painter, 1726-1796)
|
Note: Czech 18th century painter was born in Chomutov, was active first in Northern Bohemia and later in and around Prague from ca. 1760. Attributed to him are allegorical portraits of brothers of the Pachta family as the four elements, and a painting of the empress Maria-Theresa surrounded by her family. He also produced historical scenes with detailed landscapes, religious works, genre scenes and still lifes. Influences included Venetian masters, Baroque, Italian Rococo, and Czech painting. The Okresní muzeum, and the deanery church in Most hold many of his religious works from the 1750s. |
