Note: He began painting as an autodidact in Avaré, São Paulo. In 1906, he exhibited for the first time at the Galeria Bevilácqua in São Paulo. In 1909 he received a scholarship from the Artistic Pensionato of the State of São Paulo and travelled to Paris. From 1909 to 1910 he Studied at the Académie Julian. |
