Norfini, Alfredo (Italian painter, 1867-1944)
|
Note: Italian painter, designer and teacher, who was army official for a short period, and then soon after entered the Accademia Reale di Belle Arti of Lucca, Italy, to study painting. He moved to São Paulo in 1989 and started to live in Campinas. He is known for having taken part of the Exposition de Grands Artistes in Nice, France; of several Brazilian art exhibitions such as the Salão Nacional de Belas Artes and for having been invited by Ramos de Azevedo to lecture at the Liceu de Artes e Ofícios of São Paulo, further Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo. He dedicated himself mainly to landscape painting and Baroque architecture. |

Serviu no exército como oficial por pequeno período de tempo e logo após ingressou na Accademia Reale di Belle Artde Lucca, na Itália para estudar pintura. Mudou-se para São Paulo em 1989 onde fixou residência em Campinas. É conhecido por ter participado da Exposition de Grands Artistes em Nice, França; por ter participado de várias exposições brasileiras de arte como o Salão Nacional de Belas Artes e por ter sido convidado por Ramos de Azevedo para lecionar no Liceu de Artes e Ofícios de São Paulo, futura Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo. Dedicou-se principalmente à pintura de paisagens e arquitetura barroca. |
