Nassar, Emmanuel (Brazilian painter, draftsman and teacher, born 1949)

Note: He graduated in architecture by the Universidade Federal do Pará. Throughout his career he held several individual exhibitions and took part of the 20th São Paulo Biennial, in 1989 and the 24th São Paulo Biennial, in 1998, of the collective exhibition UAB-C at the Stedelijk, Museum of Amsterdam, among others. He took part of the Brazilian representatives at the Biennale di Venezia de 1993. In 2003 and 2004, he held a retrospective at the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil in Rio de Janeiro, Brasília and São Paulo, and at the Instituto Tomie Ohtake, São Paulo. Some of his works entered the collections of the Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo, the Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro, the Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Niterói, the Museu do Estado do Pará and of the University of Essex Museum, England.

Ao longo de sua carreira realizou diversas exposições individuais e participou da XX Bienal de São Paulo em 1989 e da XXIV Bienal de São Paulo em 1998, da coletiva UAB-C no Stedelijk Museum de Amsterdam, entre outras. Fez parte da representação brasileira na Bienal de Veneza de 1993.
