Yusuf (Persian potter, active ca. 1305-1334)
|
Note: Yusuf finished his father's work on Imamzada Yahya in 1305. He also created numerous frieze tiles dating to 1310 and 1311. After this period the quality of his work begins to decline with the utilization of molded tiles as demonstrated on the Qal'a Mosque. His family usually worked in cheaper luster techniques. The last of it produced by the family is a mihrab dated 1334 for the the Imamzada 'Ali ibn Ja'far at Qum. |
