Note: Sain was a monk-painter active in Jeolla-do (province) in the mid-eighteenth century. Along with other monk-painters such as Seongok, Seolsim, Cheil, and Dogyeong he produced "Thousand Buddhas" in 1754 at Seonunsa (temple) in Gochang, Jeollabuk-do. |
