Note: Co-authored with Mario Salmi in 1912 I pittori toscani dal XIII al XVI secolo. He bought Carvaggio's Narciso and in 1914 he donated it to the galleria d'Arte Nazionale di Roma in Palazzo Barberini; an attache at the Russian Embassy in Rome, he is known above all as an art collector; secretary of the Russian Society in Rome in 1913.
