Heyer, George Stuart, Jr. (American theologian and collector, 1930-2015)

Note: Completed his education at Yale University, earning his PhD in Religious Studies in 1963. After returning to Texas and settling in Austin, he began teaching at the Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He was a former chairman of both the Texas State Commission on the Arts and Humanities and the Advisory Council for the College of Fine Arts at the University of Texas at Austin. He also served for 40 years as a Trustee of the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. He collected English silver, items generally made between 1660 and 1760.
