Note: Short-lived but major Chinese dynasty of rulers, the standards of which were adopted by subsequent dynasties. During the Qin dynasty, the Chinese language was standardized and the original Great Wall was built (213 BCE). In part due to authoritarian rule, the dynasty was overthrown three years after Qin Shihuangdi's death in 210 BCE.
