Note: Kuśmirowski attended the University of Lublin before being awarded a yearlong scholarship to the Metal and Modelling Studio at University Rennes 2, École des Beaux Arts. His installation work combines both “readymade” objects and extremely detailed and accurate models of real life objects to create nostalgic, thought provoking environments. Influenced by the collapse of the socialist-communist system, Kuśmirowski addresses themes of history and collective memory in his work. |
