Note: The company was established ca.1859 when the silversmith William Comyns purchased the London-based business of Robert Tagg based. Ca. 1885, Comyn's two sons, Charles Harling Comyns and Richard Harling Comyns, were added as partners and the company was changed to William Comyns & Sons.The firm became a limited liability company in 1930. After the death of Richard Comyns in 1953, the company was purchased by Bernard Copping and liquidated in 1987.
