Ingels, Graham (American comic artist and illustrator, 1915-1991)
|
Note: Ingels is best known as a horror specialist working for EC Comics in the 1950s, such as The Vault of Horror, The Haunt of Fear, and Tales From the Crypt. His style is distinguished by the use of fine, feathery lines, distorted figures, tonal colors, and angular shadows. Although Ingels worked for Fiction House comic books, doing illustrations for Planet Stories, Jungle Stories, and Wings in the 1940s, he reveled in his horror work, often signing his name "Ghastly" Graham Ingels. |
