Note: Korean painter was a contemporary of Kim Hong-do and Kang se-hwang. He is not considered a literati artist, though he socialized with them. He passed the military examination in 1784 and accepted a military post. He painted landscape and genre scenes that show the influence of Chŏng Sŏn.
