Note: Muhammad Ghaffari studied at Dar al-Funun. He also studied in Europe and in 1911 established an art school in Tehrān. Because of his formal education in Europe the artist's style is highly influenced by European art. One of his well-known works is a portrait of Nasir al-Din Shah of Qajar.
