Note: Born 26 December 1804; died 22 December 1875. Member of the Florence Academy. Became member of the Society of British Artists in 1846 and later a vice-president. At the time of his death he was a corresponding member of the council of the Parma academy." Salter is now remembered for his work 'The Waterloo Banquet at Apsley House' upon which he was engaged for six years.
