Note: Yo Geukil was a calligrapher and civil official active at the end of the Silla period. Mastering the calligraphic techniques applied by Ouyang Xun (557-641) of Tang Dynasty China, Yo produced strong brushwork. He was a noted calligrapher considered equivalent to Kim Saeng (711-791), another prominent calligrapher from the Silla Kingdom.
