Adlerova, Charlotta (German painter, 1908-1989)
|
Note: In 1926 she studied at the School of Arts and Crafts, Charlottenbourg, in Berlin, becoming interested in the concepts of Expressionism practiced by the Bauhaus. In 1939, after a short time in Prague, she came to Brazil, settling in São Paulo, where she was naturalized Brazilian. In 1940, she was invited by the laboratories Fontoura to design the labels of the products. From then she often worked with advertising and propaganda. In 1952, she started to paint with Waldemar da Costa, and participated of the 1st and 2nd Atelie abstração, coordinated by the artist Samson Flexor. |
