Note: Araújo graduated in Law in Recife, and then moved to Paris in 1917. He participated and organized the “Serviço do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional” (Service of the National Historical and Artistic Heritage). His themes range from still life and mulatas to landscapes. The central theme of his paintings is the city of Vila Rica (in Minas Gerais). |
