Krigstein, Bernard (American comic artist and illustrator, 1919-1990)

Note: Krigstein was the last of the major artists to join EC Comics before their collapse in 1956. He contributed to most of their major titles The Vault of Horror, Crime SuspenStories, Weird Science-Fantasy, and Two Fisted Tales. After EC, he illustrated several book jackets and record album covers and contributed to magazines, such as Harpers and American Heritage. He was president of the Society of Comic Book Illustrators and taught at the High School of Art and Design in New York City.
