Foundation for Documents of Architecture (International nonprofit corporation, subset of ADAG and housed at the National Gallery, created 1986, dissolved 1994)
|
Note: In 1986 a subset of four ADAG member repositories and the Getty Trust formed the FDA; the goal was to establish a network through which the emerging guidelines of ADAG could be applied. It also hoped to define what an appropriate electronic research environment might be. The FDA was governed by a board of directors and its central staff of eight was located at the National Gallery of Art in Washington. With the publication of "A Guide to the Description of Architectural Drawings" in 1994, the FDA was dissolved. Members were: Centre Canadien d'Architecture, the J. Paul Getty Trust, National Archives of Canada, National Archives and Records Administration of the United States, and the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C. |
