Note: Vesel studied in Ljubljana with the Slovene painter Janez Wolf, and at the Akademie der Bildenden Kunste, Vienna and the Akademie der Bildenden Kunste, Munich. He was noted as an extraordinary draftsman, particularly with nudes and portraits. He promoted the use of unmixed colours, applied directly on to the canvas. He founded a school in Munich, the Azbe-Schule. |
