|
Note: Metzinger was influential in the development of 18th-century Baroque art in Slovenia; he influenced Fortunat Wergant, Anton Cebej, and other local painters. He was first documented in 1727 in Laibach (Ljubljana), and his first known painting is dated 1729. He painted over 300 oil paintings, generally works having religious, historical or mythological subject matter. He also painted still lives and portraits.
