Dorfles, Gillo (Italian critic, painter, and philosopher, 1910-2018)
|
Note: He co-founded the Movimento per l'arte concreta, or the Concrete art movement, in 1948. Perhaps better known as a writer, he wrote books on kitsch, architecture, and other topics. He was a professor of aesthetics at the University of Milan, the University of Trieste, and the University of Cagliari. An exhibition celebrating his work was mounted in 2010 in Milan to celebrate his 100th birthday. He was among the artists invited to design the Tibetan pavilion for the 2013 Venice Biennale. |
