Note: German priest who had been a rabbi, converted to Catholicism. One of the four imperial commissioners in the Pfefferkorn controversy, tasked to examine Jewish books for blasphemy against Christianity. His work, "Judenb├╝chlein" (Cologne, 1508) described the conditions and customs of Jews in an effort to secure their conversion.
