Note: Student at the School of Decorative Arts in Prague from 1908 to 1912. He began exhibiting work after 1927 in Prague and elsewhere in Czechoslovakia. He was among the Czech cubists of the 1920s that took as a starting point the humanistic, moderate cubism of the school of Paris between the wars.
