Caneva, Giacomo (Italian photographer, painter, ca. 1813-1865)

Note: Caneva was a member of the circle of photographers, including Eugène Constant and Comte Frédéric A. Flachéron, that met at the Caffé Greco in Rome from 1850 to 1852, and who specialized in topographical and architectural views of Rome. Caneva made calotype views of the Vatican Museum sculpture collection and of the monuments of Rome. |
