Breitenbach, Joseph (American photographer, 1896-1984)
|
Note: Born 3 April 1896; died 7 October 1984. In 1931, Breitenbach worked as a photojournalist and portraitist in Munich, Germany. He moved to Paris, France, in 1933 where he created a school of photography. In 1941, Breitenbach emigrated to the United States and became a naturalized American citizen in 1946. From 1948 to 1949, Breitenbach taught photography at the New School for Social Research, New York City, New York. In 1952-1953, Breitenbach worked in Korea producing photoreports. |
