Anthony, Henry T. (American photographer and publisher, born 1813 or 1814, died 1884)
|
Note: In 1847, Henry began to collaborate on photographic projects with his brother Edward. In 1852, the Anthony brothers established the firm E. & H.T. Anthony on Broadway in New York City, a photographic supply firm. From 1861 to 1865, the Anthonys gave financial backing to photographers Mathew B. Brady and C. Roche for Civil War coverage. They then published and distributed the images under Brady's name. |
