Note: From 1831, McCosh was a surgeon at the British Army's Bengal Medical Establishment in India. From ca. 1841 to 1842, McCosh learned photography while finishing his medical training in Edinburgh, Scotland. During his stay in India, McCosh is documented as being active in Canton (China), ca. 1851, and Burma in 1852. |
