Barroso, Miguel (Spanish painter, 1538-1590)
|
Note: In 1585, Barroso painted an altarpiece for the church of the hospital of Saint-Juan de Afuera, Toledo. Also attributed to him are a number of paintings in the Cloister of the Evangelists at El Escorial; notably over the doors to the oratory. Philip II named him court painter in 1589. |
