Clark, Ed (American painter, 1926-2019)
|
Note: Born in New Orleans, Edward Clark grew up in Chicago and was later trained at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he was influenced by the architecture of the city. Clark then traveled to Paris in the 1950s to study art, and after five years abroad, he moved to New York City in 1957. Clark coats his canvases with vivid colors, playing with horizontality and geometry. |
