Shekhtel', Fyodor (Russian architect, 1859-1926)
|
Note: Shekhtel' attended one academic year in the Architecture Faculty of the Moscow College of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1876-77), then became an assistant in the architectural firm of M. Tversky and A. Kalshinsky (1880). He later worked in private practice, and teaching at the Stroganov School (from 1896) and VKhUTEMAS (1919 [sic]-1922). Shekhtel' was chairman of the Association of Moscow Architects from 1908 to 1922. |
